Hey everyone, just wanted to pop in and say, I have 4 more commissions in this set and I'm trying lol. You know, it's just same old kiosk shenanigans where I cover shifts cause people call out and I get only get one day off and I come home tired and all that lol.

But I did brainstorm a solution for that. I'm thinking about trying streaming out for art. Maybe having a set time to draw and people watching will help. Then maybe I could do paid requests or set up commissions on there? idk i didn't think through the details yet. a larger-than-you'd-expect part of my life is spent discovering that i can't access a website/product/feature/what have you because 1 it requires a smartphone app, 2 there won't always be an older version of the app you can download, and 3 my phone is old and can't be updated and can't get the newer OS

so I finally got my new laptop yesterday! it's not new-new, it's an old one from my partner's work, but it was free and it works really well and I'm soooo happy with it 🥰

we're going to replace the SSD with a bigger one, add a second one (I need storage... I'm so glad it can fit two 😅), and upgrade the RAM, then it'll be perfect (for what I want to use it for - I have my old desktop PC for gaming, and my partner is upgrading his computer so if I want to play any newer games I can also use that. I'm going to try playing over Steam, I don't know if that'll work great over wifi but it's an option at least, haha)

it's insane how different of an experience this is compared to my old laptop. that one has an 11 inch screen, 4GB RAM, and is like 8 years old (a good, expensive 8 year old laptop might still be usable... but this was literally the cheapest one I could find at the time and it was already awful then). I never used the old one unless I really had to, it was so awful to use. having a 15 inch screen is so much better. I can actually see things, and have multiple windows open at the same time! and things just load! it's so fast!! I love it.

now I don't have any excuses why I can't write my stupid thesis 😬😬😬 which. I really need to do. I only have 5 months left until I need to be done, completely, so I basically only have 3 months to actually write it. which is definitely enough. if your brain and body actually work right...
